A bit about me
Technology, music, and sport all pull from the same part of my brain. Music taught me to focus on one thing for a long time; sport taught me to keep showing up even when it's not going well. Both turned out to be useful for writing software, which is mostly patience and repetition dressed up as engineering.

Academic resultsOn the field
Swimming
Competed at school sports meets and at the national level, representing my school in All Sri Lanka Inter-School Tournaments — two years of consistent training and preparation.
Cricket
Played for the Under-13 A team and Under-15 C Team over a five-year period. Participating in numerous school cricket tournaments was a great experience in learning about teamwork, sportsmanship and sports skills.
Away from the screen
Outside of coursework I draw, build small things for the fun of it, and keep wandering into parts of tech that have nothing to do with my degree.
Building for fun
Most of my free time goes into building small tools of my own. Some turn out genuinely useful, others are just silly ideas I wanted to see working. I usually start coding without much of a plan and work the rest out as I go.
Exploring tech
Software engineering is my main focus, but I make time for other areas as well. Recently that has meant small AI and cyber security projects, built to understand how they work rather than to specialise in them.

My passion for art, expressed through working with pencil and pastels, has led to winning titles in several art competitions throughout my school career.
